Do you know your genre?

The title of today’s post may be a little misleading, surprising or confusing. But let me ask again, how many of us really know the roots and history of drum and bass?

For some people it’s music like any other, nothing wrong about that, but a die-hard fan probably appreciates new info about the scene, releases, history or the evolution in general. Personally, I prefer to listen to various radio show that are out there, to read a well written article or see a great interview. So today’s question is: Why not to educate yourself? Explore new things, because education knows no boundaries. What could be possibly better than to become knowledgeable about your favourite genre?

There are great resources like the weekly Noisia Radio, the whole UKF.com platform with its articles and interviews, multi-genre Resident Advisor and you could also listen to our 1 hour bi-weekly podcast where each episode is dedicated to the evolution of one d’n’b pioneer, with the tracks presented in ascending order from the first ones all the way to this day & accompanied by a mid-show talk about the achievements and progression of their career.
